Banana Republic Adelia Pumps

For the mid-$100 range, the Banana Republic Adelia Pumps are probably among the sexiest, most comfortable, and overall best bang for your buck shoes out there for Fall. Both of my picks are called the Adelia, so let’s start with the first.

Banana Republic Adelia Pumps, d’Orsay style

Banana Republic Adelia Pumps

I’ve actually never owned a pair of d’orsay style heels, but they are really quite a sexy, feminine style. I love that these Adelia Pumps are quite simple and classic, and look like your classic pointy-toe pumps but with a twist. That little sexy opening in the middle that shows off your foot. 3.5″ heel, so they’re doable, especially considering they’re armed with Banana Republic’s legendary memory foam cushioned insole. Get yours here for $138 (currently with extra 35% off or 40% off if you’re a BR card member).

Banana Republic Adelia T-Strap Pump

With these Adelia T-Strap Pumps, Banana Republic is definitely trying to get on the trend of studded, strappy pumps a la Valentino Rockstud style. Definitely can’t blame them for trying; this style just oozes sex appeal and class at the same time. Not only is this Banana Republic version much cheaper, it also comes with their famous padding system, featuring memory foam and a cushioned insole. Definitely a good option for Valentino fans. Particularly love the Brindle nude color. Get your pair here from Banana Republic for $148 (currently 35% off, or 40% off if you’re a BR card member).

Versace Baroque Print Stretch Viscose Cady Dress

I’ve never paid attention to Versace before. Like most of you, I rarely hear about them on fashion blogs and no one is prancing around with Versace bags. Just seemed like they were so old school. Really, who actually wears Versace these days? Then I saw a picture of Nina Dobrev (of “Vampire Diaries” fame) wearing the Versace Baroque Print Cady Dress at Paris Fashion Week.

OMG, she’s stunning, the dress is gorgeous, the shoes are amazeballs. Is it just me? It can’t be just me. Yes, I know, part of what makes the outfit is probably that Nina Dobrev and her amazing bod can make any dress/outfit look amazing, but…look at this dress! The amount of detailing is insane. The patterns really do feel baroque and vintagey, but the style of the dress is so modern and super sexy, if not maybe a tad too short. Then add on those brass buttons and shoulder fringe, and you totally have that old-school military vibe. The colors all play super well together.

And to top it off, she let the dress shine by pairing it with a pair of stunning, but very neutral, understated pair of Versace Mirror Pumps in black suede. As neutral as they are, they stand out to the shoe fiend in me because I love that it’s not a typical pair of black pumps. The wedged layer of silver mirror in the platform, the reflective mirror quality extending from the heel through the sole, and they even look comfortable given the large platform…which the wedged layer of mirror helps to deflect from, so it doesn’t look like a giant platform. Yes, I also love these pumps. What do you think of Nina Dobrev’s outfit? If you’d like her dress, you can get it here from Luisaviaroma.

Rebecca Minkoff Angelica Floral Lace Skirt

I’ve really been liking lace lately; pretty sure it’s because I’ve been seeing it literally everywhere for the Fall season and subconsciously it made me like it more. For sure it’s not an organic affinity, as I’ve never really quite taken to lace ever before. The new, refreshed take on lace is very modern and feminine and much more to my liking — especially the new trend of having some part of the lace be see-through. Very chic. My favorite so far is the Rebecca Minkoff Angelica Floral Lace Skirt:

At first I wasn’t sure about this color, but then I saw it paired with this regular white tee and it just felt so sunny and warm and happy. I love how the lace looks; it’s not at all like the really old-fashioned tablecloth-type lace your grandma used to use. For those who like to be a little bit more vampy/sexy (or maybe just as an evening look), it’s also available (and on sale) in black:

Having that bottom portion be see-through lace is very chic and modern; no matter the color, it adds just that right touch of sexiness to this relatively lady-like skirt. Get either the black or yellow at 40% off here for $148 from Shopbop.
