Louis Vuitton Claudia Ballerina Flats

The Claudia Ballerina Flats are my first pair of shoes from Louis Vuitton. Yeah, I know LV isn’t known for making shoes so I don’t expect them to be too comfortable, but I’m a HUGE sucker for the Amarante leather they have and I love the pop of the gold hardware against the darkness of the Amarante.

Unlike most of the LV shoes, these are not ostentatiously logo-ed. Rather, the vernis leather is subtly embossed and barely noticeable unless under direct sunlight.

They were quite pricey at $655 not including tax, so hopefully they’re not killer on my feet and I end up never wearing them.

Initial impression is good though; the leather may be a bit stiff as expected from all patent leather, but the sole is very cushiony and bendy. Good signs!

J.Crew Merino Cielo Ruffle Cardigan

I’ve been going through a no-plain-cardigan phase for a while now, because I have way too many basic cardigans from J.Crew (like 5 in black alone). But recently I realized I have all these cardigans in maybe 4 colors combined, with black being really the only neutral color. So I started a hunt for a tan colored cardigan and voila, the Merino Cielo Ruffle Cardigan from J.Crew (of course) is the result (tan not shown obviously).

I wasn’t going for ruffles, but I don’t mind them, especially on a more serious color like tan, or officially “heather camel.”

I’m wearing: J.Crew Brushstroke Mini, J.Crew Glass Pools Bracelet, Nine West Getby Wedges

I got a Medium, and it fit a bit more tightly than the other cardigans I have in Medium. The merino wool is my favorite in sweaters, as it’s super comfortable, very breathable, not scratchy (unlike the Dream series), and drapes beautifully. This cardigan is no exception. It’s a slightly darker tan than I had hoped, but still a great neutral nonetheless.

J.Crew Vintage Cotton Henley

I love the Vintage Cotton V-Neck tees from J.Crew’s last season so much that I’m very tempted to stock up on this updated henley version, especially considering the huge selection of fall colors.

True to slub cotton, this tee is so comfortable and has a loose fit. I ordered my normal knit size and it’s a perfect fit.
