I’ve always eyed Julie Vos’ jewelry; her pieces look so detailed and expensive, but the prices aren’t. For someone who loves her jewelry so much, it’s probably surprising that I actually don’t own any….mostly because I’m in China now and it’s quite difficult to get pieces shipped here from non-mainstream retailers. I had always eyed the Alexander Wang Rocco Duffel Bag — it’s so rock-and-roll, so edgy, tough-girl chic. The leather looks unique but thick and amazing, and you know I’m a sucker for the black leather + gold hardware combo. Given my typical style is somewhat preppy and feminine, the edge of this bag would really counterbalance that and produce that unexpected contrast I love. Not sure why I never pulled the trigger, but now I’m glad I didn’t because Alexander Wang then released a mini version called the Rockie (how cute!) that tugs at my heart strings even more.

Something about the latest trend of miniaturizing popular, classic bags is speaking to me. Maybe that’s why the trend is happening; most girls just love miniatures for some reason. Either way, the Alexander Wang Rockie is a perfect, uber cute mini version of the now classic Rocco Duffel bag. Except this one is super light and can be easily carried cross-body.

This size works much better for me than the standard Rocco size; it will fit all of your essentials and any other unexpected additions, like a sweater for the office, or an umbrella, or even several bottles of water.

At first sight, I thought the Michael Kors Camille Chronograph Watch looked just like the Cartier Ballon Bleu watch I’ve been lusting after for years. Given that there’s a vast, vast price difference, the Michael Kors Camille Watch is a great substitute for those who don’t want to shell out the big bucks for the Cartier.

While upon some inspection, it’s clear this is no Cartier Ballon Bleu, the Camille still looks expensive, classic, and very on trend. I love that the watch is gold but the face is white, with all the roman numerals in gold as well. It’s that kind of detailing that makes this watch stand out and look high-end.

Given that real gold costs a fortune these days, even those who can afford the Cartier Ballon Bleu are likely not too eager to shell out the uber mega bucks for the all gold version. So in the interim, the Camille watch will more than suffice. It will match almost every outfit you can think of — dressy or casual — and it’ll make whatever you’re wearing look just a tiny bit more polished and put-together. Even if it’s just a t-shirt and jeans. For those of you who are not that into gold watches for whatever reason, there’s also a gorgeous silver version, including a silver blinged-out pave bezel version that is pretty much TDF.
