Naya Irina Clogs / Wedges

I managed to do a bit of shopping this weekend, so hopefully you’ll be seeing some new stuff up soon! In the mean time, I realized I forgot to post this review of my new favorite staple shoes for Fall/Winter – the Naya Irina.

Naya Irina Clogs / WedgesI know I’m not alone in the eternal hunt for the super comfortable but flattering go-to shoe. For me, I need something I can comfortably wear under jeans yet also look great with skirts. Something I can turn to on a daily basis when I’m feeling lazy, yet not look like a lazy slob. Something as flattering as those thin-heeled-feet-killers but as comfortable as flats. It’s an “eternal” hunt because it’s almost impossible. I used to think it had to be booties (or ankle boots). I’ve always found them relatively comfortable and cute with both jeans and skirts. However, I haven’t had much luck with comfortable booties this season. So I turned to wedge clogs – slip ons, low heel pitch, and very on trend this season.

I’m wearing: Banana Republic Leather Patch Pocket Jacket (still available in store but find similar jacket online here), J.Crew Vintage Cotton V-Neck Tee , J.Crew Houndstooth Mini (similar here)

3 inch heel, 1 inch platform in a wedge. Equivalent of 2 inches. I got it in black suede, which is I think the most leg-lengthening, especially with black tights. It also makes my legs look much longer and leaner in jeans, because it makes them look like they miraculously grew 3 inches. Best of all – uber comfortable, super cushiony. Slip on and go. I can’t recommend these enough. Only thing I wish was not there are the studs around the side, but for some reason they are ubiquitous on clogs. As icing on the cake, these are also very eco-friendly – chrome-free, biodegradable, etc etc.

Get them here from Zappos for $149. I think the consensus is to go a half size up!

  1. Your wedge clogs are cute & stylish! Agree about the studs but they really don’t stand out so much when someone is wearing the shoe vs. analyzing the shoe on it’s own.

“I know I’m not alone in the eternal hunt for the super comfortable but flattering go-to shoe.” You are so not alone!! I too love the wedges but they’re either too high, too expensive or have some embellishment or weird front toe shape going on. I’ve turned to Clark’s (indigo by clarks water row boot and Clarks Women’s Julia Saint Clog)since they offer heel heights that are friendly to my casual lifestyle. I must say the Clark’s Julia Clogs look like real ‘duds’ compared to your cute wedges!

Thanks for the post. I came across more cute styles after googling your Irina’s.

  2. I think those look great, especially with the tights. I’ve been on the hunt for comfortable ankle boots, but that has been a challenge. Let’s hope that one (or more) of the four boots I ordered last week works.
I was at a consignment shop last week and I saw that same skirt in black, white and yellow. I like that skirt on you!

  3. JustVisiting – I’ve been eyeing those Clark Water Row boots too! I’m loving the oxford-boot trend this fall and will probably end up getting a pair one way or another. Are they comfortable? Banana Republic had a pair of oxford-boots that got rave reviews but sold out before I got a chance at ’em.

  4. I have the Indigo Clarks Water Row boot in taupe. Pretty comfy and cute. Love the clogs and will have to check them out. I bought a pair from Target (to be on trend without spending a lot) and they are really cute and pretty comfy.

OT, but what jeans do you like? I’m also on an eternal hunt for shoes and for jeans!

  5. Carrie – Yeah, I keep hearing rave reviews about the Clarks Water Row boots. Definitely have to check those out – very on trend too! For jeans, I swear by 7 for All Mankind Gingers…esp in the dark wash. Super comfy, super flattering (no comparison to any jeans I’ve ever tried on, and trust me it is definitely an eternal hunt for me too), and versatile enough to be dressed up or down. Love them! 6. I love that jacket on you! I am currently eyeing it on ebay. Would you wear that outfit to the office? If so, do you remove the jacket when you get there? It kind of ruins the look, no? But, then it it weird to go around all day with the jacket on. I don’t know the protocal here. What do you think? Thanks!

  7. hi, Can I ask you a question?
I’m thinking about buying these clogs but I don’t know my shoe size. My foot is 23.2 cm. Do they run small? Do i have to go a half size up?
I’m going to order them from Amazon. I live in Thailand. I need to be sure they will fit me ’cause I won’t be able to return them back.
    Thank you.
