I know I’m probably late in the game at this point, but I’ve recently become obsessed with Mansur Gavriel’s bags. Yes, I know they are now sold out everywhere in every single size and color variation, but I don’t care, I will put myself on waiting lists and wait for these bags. As long as it takes. Why do I (and apparently many, many others) love this bag? The pictures speak for themselves.

Mansur Gavriel Large Leather Tote – Black w/Flamma Interior

Simple, laid-back, classic style, effortlessly chic…yet you’re able to choose the color of the lining from a variety of colors so that you get that pop of color among all that classic-ness. Love that tiny gold logo that somehow adds a little zing as well while remaining very subtle and not at all in-your-face like so many logo bags out there. Black with red (“Flamma”) provides the ultimate contrast, but remember how so many of us have been on the eternal hunt for that perfect cognac leather tote? Mansur Gavriel has one.

Mansur Gavriel Large Leather Tote – Brandy w/Raw Interior

Look those natural striations on that leather. Look at that color Brandy. Classic. So classic. I don’t think any other color interior besides the raw backing of the Brandy leather looks good here. They do have options of white, blue, etc., but none of those are a good contrast to this color, in my opinion.

Interestingly enough, at this very low price (relative to all designer handbags, that is) of just $485, they even throw in what they call a detachable wallet. Not the reason I’d buy this bag, obviously, but having a matching pouch is nice icing on the cake.

It looks a lot more structured than the Cuyana Leather Tote, but about the same as my Madewell Transport Tote, albeit this leather is a bit stiffer and smoother. Comfortable to carry on shoulder, but looks super chic when carried by hand or on the crook of your elbow. I want to collect this bag in ALL colors but guess I’ll settle for just these two.
