Love the Studio Blazer from J.Crew. It’s so versatile – dress it up for a night out, pair it with a pair of jeans, or even wear it as a professional suiting blazer. It’s cut long and lean, so it’s extremely flattering.

The drapey wool feels very comfortable and cool, but I can’t honestly imagine wearing this in the summer heat because it is relatively substantial. I got my usual shirt size and it fits slightly tighter than the Mackenzie blazer, but still not too much so. Oh and ladies – it’s pretty wrinkle resistant! This one’s a keeper, especially at the very low $79.99 price (down from $215!). Totally worth it.

The new Cotton Pimm Skirt from J.Crew is basically the Cotton Nico Skirt from last season reinvented in new colors. I’m not sure many people were really fans of the Cotton Nico Skirt, so I have no idea why they released it again. But, I happened to like that skirt and absolutely love the new Wild Mushroom color, so this was a must-try for me.

In real life the Wild Mushroom color seemed a bit dull and not as saturated as this catalog picture would seem to depict. It also was not the most flattering, and now that I try on my Cotton Nico Skirt again, it’s not all that flattering either. What was I thinking?

It was relatively shapeless but stiff. I felt compelled to stick my hand into the pockets (yes, at least there are pockets) in order to flare out the skirt a bit. It’s a cute little skirt, I guess, but I’m just not jumping for joy over it.

The Sequin Necklace tank from J.Crew is a jazzed up basic knit tank. It’s sparkly and comfortable, but definitely not worth the price tag.

I’m wearing: J.Crew Canterbury Bells Pencil Skirt, Banana Republic Dahlia Wedges

My pictures don’t really show how sparkly the tank is, but it is VERY glittery under sunlight. I’d probably keep this for $30, but while I like the detailing, I don’t love it for $64. I got this in Small and it fits fine, even relatively loosely. Beauty of slub cotton.
