J.Crew Sequin Necklace Tank

The Sequin Necklace tank from J.Crew is a jazzed up basic knit tank. It’s sparkly and comfortable, but definitely not worth the price tag.

I’m wearing: J.Crew Canterbury Bells Pencil Skirt, Banana Republic Dahlia Wedges

My pictures don’t really show how sparkly the tank is, but it is VERY glittery under sunlight. I’d probably keep this for $30, but while I like the detailing, I don’t love it for $64. I got this in Small and it fits fine, even relatively loosely. Beauty of slub cotton.

J.Crew Drapey Wool Mackenzie Jacket

I’m always very excited when I see an item that has a ton of wardrobe potential go on sale for a really good price. The Drapey Wool Mackenzie Jacket from J.Crew was no exception. I don’t really own any blazers and this could be something I pop on to every outfit to look just a touch more put together. Since it’s cut short, I can also wear it with dresses and belt it.

I’m wearing: J.Crew Sequin Stripe Henley Tank, J.Crew Metallic Moss Jacquard Skirt (on sale right now!), Tory Burch Julianne Peep Toe Wedges (also on sale!)

This jacket is very comfortable. The drapey wool feels like a light but substantial weight. I usually wear a Small in tops and Medium in sweaters at J.Crew; I got this in a 6, which is also my shirt size at J.Crew, and it fit me perfectly. Here’s a shot unbuttoned and to the side.

I’d highly recommend this blazer, especially at this price. It’s comfortable, it’s relatively breezy and not too heavy, and it definitely makes you look very put together almost instantly.

J.Crew Watercolor Pastiche Perfect Shirt

I always liked the Watercolor Pastiche print but not enough to pay the price for the skirt or dress. When this Perfect Shirt went on sale for only $29.99, I snagged it. I never thought I’d wear button down shirts, since I never knew how to size in them and they seemed so serious. However, the Giant Gingham shirt I recently purchased totally changed my mind. Something about a collared, button down shirt just immediately makes you look put together while the cool prints keep it whimsical. The Watercolor Pastiche shirt is still available now so if you love it, now is the time.

J.Crew Watercolor Pastiche Cardigan

I was surprised at how thin this material is, but maybe that’s why it’s perfect for summer. I had no idea what to pair with this print, since I mainly style my outfits with one neutral and one pop color or print, but I don’t have many neutral bottoms…plus they are mainly black, which doesn’t seem to suit this cheery print.

I’m wearing: Banana Republic Pique Pencil Skirt, Matt Bernson Bo Peep Espadrilles

I was a bit sad to realize I can probably only pair it with a white bottom, but once I saw how cute and peasant-girlish the outfit looked together, I didn’t mind so much. Gotta love white pencil skirts. Flattering and the perfect canvas for really cool tops and crazy prints.
