J.Crew Dejeuner Silk Shorts

Remind me again why I decided to try on the Dejeuner Silk Shorts from J.Crew? Somehow it escaped me that no, I do not indeed have the legs for such short flimsy shorts. When I pulled these on, I cringed and could not bear to look at myself in the mirror. One of the most unflattering things I’ve ever put on my body. I don’t necessarily blame the shorts – I simply do not have the legs for these. If you have amazing long JCrew-model like legs, you may want to try these on.

I’m wearing: J.Crew Studio Blazer (similar here), J.Crew Sequin Stripe Henley Tank, Matt Bernson Bo Peep Espadrilles

I’m cringing again as I see these photos that I’ve posted for all to see. Please don’t laugh at me. I shall never be so bold and silly in my choices of what to try on again. I will say though that they are extremely comfortable, mainly because they’re barely there in design and they’re silk. You would definitely feel very cool if you were able to wear these out with your fantastic legs.

Get these from J.Crew here for $88.

  1. I feel like only 1% of the population could pull of those shorts. I definitely couldn’t!

Those shoes make your legs look hot though! Are they comfortable?

  2. I so wish these came in black–I’d be on them in a heartbeat. But I could never pull off that color against my skintone. 🙁

  3. Maya – yeah, totally feel you on the 1% of population thing. A whole lotta envy for those people. Those wedges are unbelievably comfortable – you HAVE to try them. They’re very well cushioned. I don’t even have any flats that are more comfortable and I often choose them over flats when I’m headed out. I’ll be posting up an actual review soon!

  4. Lucy – You’re so lucky that you’d be able to pull these off at all! But yeah, I can see why this color could potentially clash with certain skin tones. Grr.
